Jakub Jankowski

Jakub Jankowski is an Adelaide-based composer, working primarily in the field of chamber and symphonic music.

In August 2023, Jakub’s trio Eclogue – written for the unique combination of two cellos and koto – was premiered by Jean-Guihen Queyras, James Morley and Satsuki Odamura as part of a national concert tour for Musica Viva Australia.

In October 2022, ABC Classic released the premiere recording of Jakub’s 2021 work Clairières, commissioned especially for the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra as part of an ABC Fresh Start Fund.

Jakub’s music has been featured at several festivals, including the Tongyeong International Music Festival (2019), the Coriole Music Festival (2019), the Lockenhaus Chamber Music Festival (2018), and the Musica Viva Festival (2017).
