Sarah Barrett

Sarah took up the horn at an early age having always had a passion for brass instruments. She studied at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music completing a Bachelor of Music Performance in 1998. Sarah currently holds the position of associate principal horn in the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, a position she has held since 2000.
In 2002 she undertook an exchange playing for a year in the Sinfonie Orchester St Gallen in Switzerland. She has also performed with most of the other Australian symphony orchestras. As well as orchestral playing Sarah has played recitals and appeared as soloist many times including as a featured artist at the International Horn Symposium in Brisbane.
Sarah enjoys playing chamber music in various combinations, and has a busy teaching schedule.
